Recurring connection issues - Intel Centrino 6235 on Samsung Series 7

I am having continual issues with my Intel Centrino 6235 wireless adaptor. I am still encountering sporadic dropouts which is causing major issues which are unacceptable.

I am not a computer expert, so I do not understand the vast array of suggestions on other posts...

I have updated my drivers using the August 2014 driver but I am still having issues - the driver details screen however details I am using 15.14.0.2 rather than the v17 as mentioned on the .exe filename?

Could someone please urgently suggest solutions? Nothing I have read works and it is driving me mad...........

I am running Windows 8.1 64bit, on a Samsung Chronos 7 laptop.

As I say, please treat me as a novice but I urgently need a solution for this, I find it unacceptable that 1 1/2 years have passed and I am STILL HAVING ISSUES.

James

^^^ See this link re: driver numbering.

Farther down the page of the forum is a thread about the same issue. "AC7260 disconnects every 5 minutes." --Same problem and likely a similar solution for you.

Here:

See that one and try the driver that is linked there. If you don't understand something about the discussion there, ask away. What really matters is the driver. Most have been stinkers since the early 16s up until 17.12. Also, uninstall ProSet in Control Panel.

Thanks but that driver is for a different wireless adaptor model, so surely won't work?

As @gattoNero mentioned before, the version being displayed by the system is a normal behavior. The latest driver posted on our download page is 17.1.0 but depending on the Operating System version can displayed differently.
