Dear Intel Support Team,
I am writing to bring to your attention an issue with the Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 network adapter on my laptop, specifically regarding its compliance with the updated Wi-Fi frequency regulations in Indonesia. Despite regulatory changes since 2019, the Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 does not fully utilize the newly allowed bandwidth and channels in Indonesia, which affects performance compared to other brands. I know this issue has been addressed on previous threads but still remain unsolved.
Details of the Issue:
Laptop Network Adapter: Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 (160 MHz).
Driver Version: 23.90.0.2 (latest installed).
Router: TP-Link Archer AX12.
Problem:
Channels 36-48 remain blocked.
The adapter only allows operation at 20 MHz bandwidth, despite the regulations now permitting bandwidths up to 80 MHz on all these channels.
Background Information: The Indonesian government has recently updated its Wi-Fi regulatory framework to allow the use of channels 36-48 and bandwidths up to 80 MHz. However, the Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 does not appear to reflect these updates in its frequency table for Indonesia.
Notably, other network adapters, such as those from Realtek, have already adapted to these regulatory changes and allow full use of the updated bandwidth and channels. This discrepancy limits the performance of Intel's adapter in comparison.
Request: Could your team please:
Recheck and update the frequency regulatory table for Indonesia in your drivers/firmware to ensure compliance with the latest regulations.
Provide a timeline or feedback on when a resolution to this issue might be expected.
If needed, I can assist by providing a copy of the updated Indonesian Wi-Fi frequency regulation for your reference.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. Please let me know if you require additional details or testing feedback from my end.
Best regards,
easee

Intel AX201 (160Mhz) Wi-fi 6, has all the channels and there allowed frequencies in them no matter where you are at by International Wifi standards. The National Communication Commissions decide what channels and frequencies are allowed in their Country and by what makers of wifi cards, since realtek wifi ids are allowed @ 80 Mhz on the wifi infrastructure it stands to reason that your country will update there data base to include Intel wifi ids to run at AC- Wifi 5 speeds and other makers in the future. Contact your National Communication Commission and query them on when. Its not that much different than mobile phones in some places you get 5G connectivity in other places 4G Lte, 3G, 2G and so on.
Cheers

If Intel AX201 (160Mhz) Wi-fi 6, has all the channels regardless where you at.
Then why my laptop with that card cannot see wifi with channels of 36-48. It only works if I switch to 149-161 channel.
Any setting am i missing? updated firmware already
