SOLVED : Intel n 7260 dual band no longer at 5 ghz working after trying to fix problem

Hello,

I have from one year a Panasonic CF-LX3 with a Dual Band Wifi N 7260 Adapter.

I connected the Internet using 5 Ghz network during this year getting full speed from Wifi Router giving 100 Mbit. I saw all available networks in both 2.4 and 5 Ghz bands,

It happened that in latest days I needed to connected to another backup Internet Provider and its wifi network was not seen from my pc. The issue was only on such router because the others at 5 Ghz was still available. All other pc's and smartphones at home still see both routers in 2.4 and 5 Ghz band with no problem.

So I tried to enter from Windows 10 Pro into wifi properties, entering the N 7260 problem resolution and tried to fix. The system answered that problem was fixed but from then I no longer see only from this any 5 Ghz network but only 2.4 ones.

I checked adapter settings and bands are enabled for 802.11 a/b/g  and preferred network are on both bands. I tried then from Intel support download to get latest driver but for such product it is discontinued while if I try to use latest .inf files from wireless suggested page I get message that my 2015 driver is updated and there is no further need.

I will try to search informations but any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Yea, you need the fix in the final driver release to connect to WiFi6 Routers. I have a copy of it in me archive.

Use this link: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AtacZBU04mo-j-tQ34BdSDv6y1BFsg?e=7gn50T to access my archive. Subfolders provide final driver packages for most of the Discontinued Wireless adapters.

Hope this helps,

Hello Scott,

thanks much for your help. I installed it and even if there is no management utility, which is not useful, because Windows 10 has awesome network management, I can confirm yourself that finally wifi driver is updated from 2015 to 2019.

Any best for you

Cheers

Marco
