Hello,
I have 2.5Gbps WiFi 6 at home, with optic fiber. The main router supports the 2.5Gbps speed WiFi.
The laptop I have is Asus ZenBook Pro Duo (model: UX581LV), that supports WiFi 6 up to 2.4Gbps using Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz , version 23.10.0.8.
The WiFi speed I get in only between 700MB/s to 800MB/s. Why is that? How to fix it?
I've tried to be near the router and another spots and it still what I get.
With Ethernet cable connected, using an 2.5Gbps Ethernet to USB-C, I still get 700MB/s to 800MB/s speed while another cheap laptop with the same conditions gets 1800MB/s.
Why my Wifi is ao slow?
Thank you.

What are your settings in Device Manager ? I have Intel AX 201 a few of mine are unchecked allow windows to turn off device to save power, advanced tab- 802.11 a/b/g wireless mode- 6. Dual band 802.11 a/b/g , underneath 802.11 n/ac/ax wireless mode-4. 802.11 ax.
Seems your card is connecting to 2.4Ghz band not 5Ghz band. Bios and wireless driver up to date ?
Contact the laptop support also.
Cheers

Firtst, thank you for your reply.
Yes, my driver is up to date, and im on 5Ghz band.
My laptop support couldn't find a solution. I tried to go to a local technician, but he didn't knew how to solve this also. Don't know what to do next.

AX201 is wifi 6 card and runs best with good quality wifi 6 router.
Did the local technician put in a good working Intel AX201 card to compare with your present Intel AX 201 card ? Since Intel AX201 cards are not expensive buy another card, if it has the same problems its a Mobo problem then its time to contact the maker and let them fix it for free under warranty, more than likely it would be a defective component which can be de-soldered and better one put in, problem solved, this has happened before and is nothing new, cost cutting or some vendors sometimes does not work.
I have mentioned this before and again seems appropriate, manufacturers of computers, ect have diagnostic stations that test everything before they box it up, one looks like octopus with a screen and the arms connect to every port and connectors from there they test every thing before the final assembly and final testing, this station tests the motherboard and all of its components and tells the operator the results and from there the operator knows if any component is not in specifications. CPU's, nvme, dram, wifi cards, batteries, power supply, ssd's ect. have test stations.
If the manufacturer relies on vendor tests only they will get toasted sooner or later.
Even sellers can get toasted, too many to mention yet one come to mind, Fry's Electronics and First International signed a contract for Fry's to sell exclusively these low cost High powered mother boards , they went on sale in every store and many many sold and were returned the next day for refund all the mother boards were defective, many senior members here remember that. Seller here relied on vendors test and got toasted , because they did not test these items themselves before selling them.
Cheers
