Sony VAIO with Intel dual band Wireless AC 7260. No internet.

I installed in my Sony VAIO (SVE1512H6EW) the Intel dual band Wireless-AC 7260. According to the device manager the AC 7260 is working properly, with up to date drivers from the Intel site, but no internet connection is possible. In the netwok centre Wifi 3 is indicated but can not be switched on. Installing the old wireless network card again gives immediately internet access via Wifi (without an added number).

It may result that this wireless adapter is not compatible with your system. Your best option would be to consult SONY* for assistance as they are the only ones that can provide you a list of tested, certified and approved cards that are compatible with your system. What is the purpose of those regulations? My MacBook and my Samsung phone both have 5 Ghz access capability and has my wish for the the VAIO too.

To comply with the laws applied by each country and the installation must be done only by the OEM and/or authorized technicians.
