Unable to create a Wi-Fi 6 Hotspot (Windows 11) - AX200

Hi,

I've been wanting to create a Wifi 6 hotspot with my Wi-Fi 6 Card (AX200) for a long time, but no such option exists on W10 or W11, is this something I should raise with Microsoft in hopes they will eventually add this feature or is this something Intel might be able to add eventually?

I have Quest 2 which supports wifi-6 but I can't utilise wifi-6 with it because of this. Or am I incorrect in thinking that Wifi 6 option should even come up? Wifi 6 is supposed to utilise both 2.4 ghz and 5Ghz bands at the same time, so I doubt that Windows currently fully utilizes Wifi-6 capabilities when it comes to creating hotspots.

Regards,

Laukar

Hello Laukar,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

In order to better assist you, please provide the following:

1. Run the Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU) to gather more details about the system.

2. Is this the original adapter that came pre-installed on your computer or did you change/install the adapter to this one?

3. Can other devices connect to the Wifi 6 via hotspot?

4. Can you connect to Wifi 6 directly from the router?

5. What is the brand and model name of the router?
