Could not trace this by having searched the public domain and perused the governing documentation.

What is it and what does it?

Hello yi000,

This is a new setting on the 9000 series and newer adapters for blocking background scan.

Edited by Intel

There are three options:

- Never (Default): Background scan is not blocked.

- On Good RSSI: Background scan is blocked when the system is close to the Access Point (good signal strength)

- Always: Background scan is always blocked.

I hope you find this information helpful.

Must be hell of research to conduct for an Intel product to establish what this setting about. Rather curious that Intel support cannot provide an answer...
