Why are forever hidden updates still constantly sent notifications of to my Windows PC? I have explicitly marked a given wireless driver update as FOREVER hidden, and yet every day, I get a notification that an update is available. The given HIDDEN update DOES NOT WORK, I have to revert to the previous update, I never want to apply the HIDDEN update. But the stupid intel driver assistant keeps nagging that an update is available. WHAT THE HELL IS FOREVER HIDDEN mean then? HIDDEN to any logical rationale user means... NO NOTIFICATIONS on a FOREVER HIDDEN UPDATE.

You are talking about the forever mysterious workings of IDSA, for which there is no answer Intel will provide in this world.
It is a tool that operates solely in the twilight zone.
Uninstall IDSA and do not use it.
You can download your wireless driver directly and avoid the nightmare of this twisted piece of software that Intel cannot manage.

Hello Schorschi,
Thank you for posting in Intel Communities and sharing this feedback with us. I appreciate you reporting this notification issue and am here to help resolve the "forever hidden" functionality.
To help us investigate this issue with the notification system and provide a proper fix, could you please share the following details:
- What specific driver version keeps notifying you to update?
- Can you confirm it's the same driver version that reappears even after hiding the notification?
- Screenshot of system information (run msinfo32) showing your exact system make/model and OS version
- Screenshot from Device Manager → Network Adapters (showing your exact wireless adapter model)
- Screenshot from Device Manager → [Your wireless adapter] → Properties → Driver tab (showing current driver version)
- Any error messages you encounter?
- Can you confirm your wireless connectivity works fine, but the issue is only with the driver updater tool notifications?
- Can you confirm the tool name is "Intel Driver & Support Assistant"?
This information will enable us to determine the root cause of the "forever hidden" function issue and move forward with a comprehensive investigation to implement a lasting solution. Your input is essential for improving our tools and user experience.
Best regards,
JeanetteC.
