Hello lsnmx,

Thanks for posting. By using our translation tools, we understand that you're experiencing connection issues when the HT160 setting is enabled on your router.

In order to better assist you, please provide us with the following information:

- Is Intel® Wireless-AC 9260 the original adapter on your system, or was it installed as an upgrade/replacement?

- What's your router firmware version?

- Intel® System Support Utility report.

1. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows- Download the latest Intel® SSU.

2. While connected to your WiFi network, run the scan. Select to include "everything."

3. Name and save the report.

Best regards,

你好你需要的资料已经提供,确认是Wireless-AC-9260的问题,我的几个设备同时连接R7800连接5G,就AC-9260时不时就自动断开WIFI5G的连接,很烦

Hello lsnmx,

Thanks for your reply.

While checking your https://kb.netgear.com/000055200/R7800-Firmware-Version-1-0-2-46 router latest firmware, we found there's a connection problem with some Intel® Wireless Adapters when HT160 is enabled in the Netgear R7800*.

This is important to us and we're currently investigating it. A solution is expected in a future driver release. For now, we recommend disabling HT160.

Please let us know if there's anything else we can do for you.

Best regards,

Eugenio F.

现在只能禁用R7800的HT160,要不然严重影响使用,请你们尽快解决吧,

Wireless-AC-9260这芯片后续应该很多OEM采购,所以请你们尽快解决

The R7800 and the R9000 both only work with HT160 in the lower channels ie (36-48) with the 9260ac. This is my experience I wonder if this is what OP is saying?

Hello aivxtla,

Thanks for sharing your experience with HT160 settings.

lsnmx Can you confirm if changing to one of the suggested channels (36-48) improves connection stability? This can be configured at the Wireless menu on the router. You can confirm your current channel from Windows* running a netsh wlan show interfaces command on a CMD.

Best regards,

Eugenio F.

Hello Eugenio, on channels 149-165 there is no stability issue, its just that the 9260ac refuses to switch to work at HT160. Max achievable Link Rate is 866Mbps though real throughput obviously will vary. When selecting channels 36-48 on the router te 9260ac works fine at HT160 with occasional disconnects like once in 30 mins or an hour but transfe rates are around 110-114MB/s (~912Mbps) (close to Ethernet limit so cant get much faster than that) for me while transferring files from my NAS to laptop and around 60-70 MB/s (480-560 Mbps) in the other direction. Basically it performs well transfer rates wise other than the occasional disconnects.

Hello lsnmx,

Thanks for testing. Checking https://www.msi.com/Laptop/GT62VR-6RD-Dominator/Specification your system specifications, we noticed the system comes with a Killer* wireless adapter. Was the Intel® Wireless-AC 9260 installed as an upgrade or replacement?

Best regards,
