Wireless Card 9560NGW vs 9560NGW R specs

The 9560NGW card is described as

802.11ac wave2, 2x2, Bluetooth 5.1,  PCIe, USB, M.2 2230

The 9560NGW R card is described as

802.11ac wave2, 2x2, 80MHz, Bluetooth 5.1 PCIe, USB, M.2 2230

What is the 80MHz figure on the R card description referring to?

Is this enhanced performance relative to the non R card or is degraded performance?

Hello davetrouble,

Based on our research, the adapter are pretty much the same in terms of performance, the specifications are mostly used by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to determine the best suitable model for each system depending on the configuration and operating system model. For that, I suggest you to contact your OEM.

The 80MHz is related to channel width support, these adapters come with 160MHz channel support also, but again it requires AP compatibility to acquire such configuration and performance.

Please check the following information regarding wireless integration (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005687/wireless.html) and for integration assistance, please contact the OEM.

Let me know if you have any concerns.
