Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN BSOD in Windows 7 x64 (DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL)

The x64 drivers for RTM Windows 7 reliably causes a DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL blue screen of death in Windows 7. There are many threads about mysterious BSODs on the uTorrent forums, some of which have been traced back to these wifi drivers. The problem does not exist in the x86 drivers.

Anymore from them? I now have two machines, different brands, both with this card...... both Windows 7 x64, both dropping off the Wifi where only a reboot will fix.

I have had to resort to plugging in external wifi devices!

Upgrade to the latest wireless driver 13.1.x.x. Go to Intel support website.

m running windows 7 64bit on a dell xps 1530. tried everything, including updating uniinstalling and so on. last hope was the latest intel driver 13.1.1.1 but surprise surprise same result.

the only way to avoid the limited connection thing is to install an intel driver offered by dell for my notebook, but this driver comes up with the bluescreen difficulty under heay network traffic ... --> /thread/6030?start=15&tstart=0 http://communities.intel.com/thread/6030?start=15&tstart=0 and the bluescreenthing is solved by the 13.1.1.1 what comes up with the limited connection/dropping connection in my case

does someone have an idea?? by the way tryied serverel routers, every ohter notebook works on everyone wihour problems except mine

Hi,

1) Can give me the scenario after which limited connectivity happens?

2) What AP model do you have? What configuration?

it happens either im downoading something, or doing some longer surfing. also if i connect to the nas harddrive. for short everytime if there is some networktraffic which lasts longer as a minute or so.

my system: dell xps m1530 ap is 00 (i think; where is it to find?). windows 7 64 bit agn 4965agn with 13.1.1.1 driver what else is interesting for you?

ok there are a couple of guys having the same problem, did find some other forums and stuff but nobody came up with an constructing idea that worked, except of downgrading to vista, but thats no solution in my opinion. i postet in some other theme related topics --> links : http://communities.intel.com/message/74258# 74258 and http://communities.intel.com/message/75709# 75709

this problem is really getting on my nerves, 10 minutes work for 2 minutes surfing....

Hi All,

Thank you for all of the information you have provided and your persistance in resolving this issue. I want to give you an update on the status for all adapters.

A fix for the following adapters has been provided in the current wireless software drivers available at http://downloadcenter.intel.com http://downloadcenter.intel.com:

Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250

Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6200

Intel® Centrino® Ultimate-N 6300

Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 1000

Intel® WiFi Link 5100

Intel® WiFi Link 5300

Unfortunately the fix for the Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN was not implemented and is not planned to be implemented. It is a very complex fix to implement due to the age of the adapter. There are some excellent suggestions in this thread that may help you to reduce the severity of the issue. I've listed a few of them below.

This is to let people know that the latest Intel Wireless Driver for Intel® Centrino® Ultimate-N 6300 and Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6200 products version 13.5.0 released on 3/4/2011 has not fixed the issue of blue screens on Windows 7 64 Bit startup.

When I uninstalled the old driver and installed this latest one I got a crash on the next Windows startup related to the Intel Wireless Driver, which is why I assumed this latest one had not fixed the blue screen problem. However, I have not had a crash/blue screen since then, so maybe it the problem was fixed after all.

As long as I know, even with driver 13.5.0.6, Intel® Centrino® Ultimate-N 6300 still have BSOD issue if operate with 802.11N transfer mode

My system is

Dell XPS M1210 with Windows7 X64 SP1

ASUS RT-N16 with tomato firmware

If 6300 operate with 802.11G setting, everything works great

But if it set as an 802.11N adapter and transfer 5 files larger than 100mb with FTP at the same time,

error named "NMI: Parity Check/ Memory Parity Error" would occur

I'm getting BSOD with the driver version 13.4.0.9 for the 6200 AGN. Will open a ticket.

I am getting the exact same BSOD on two different laptops after buying Intel 6300s for both. The only thing they have in common is both machines run Windows XP Media Center. It happens with both the old and new drivers.

Hello everyone,

I've been having the BSOD issue whenever I try to connect my old Getac B300 laptop to either of the two new Sony Xperia V Android phones I had purchased recently. Before these two, I never had any issues with the two Xperia U's or the much older Xperia Rays, and likewise with the Huawei 4G WiFi modem I run at home.

I've read through some posts here and there, and figured that some common sense would be in order. I've seen it suggested somewhere that the Intel Wireless Wifi Link 4965BGN adapter might be having some issues with 802.11n mode, so I wanted to try to disable it and see what happens:

I haven't had any issues so far.

Shady
