Wireless adapter AC 8260 does not appear in network devices

I have a lenovo T460 which was working fine but a while back I lost all the wireless connectivity.

When I check device manager I see the adapter and it doesn't show anything wrong but I does not appear in the adapter list from Networking in Control panel and of course I can't connect to anything.

We understand that your Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 is no longer shown in Device Manager, we reviewed the SSU log you provided and in fact the 8260 is not seen in your network adapters. Please check the following to discard some possible causes:- Make sure that the Wireless hardware is enabled in you laptop.
