ATULRSURI,

Can you please provide more details on the issue you are experiencing with the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260.

Is it connecting properly?

Are getting the expected speeds?

What exactly are you trying to do to give you this error?

Thanks for the reply.

The connectivity is good.

The speed is fine but at times it slows down.

This event is logged in the event viewer, once in 2-4 days.

Either I am surfing the net and or downloading at the time of the error.

ATULRSURI,

There are a few steps that you can follow that can improve your connectivity using the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260.

Disable the Power Saving Functions. Please, always make sure you are running the latest drivers from your computer manufacturer. Here is the link: http://www.intel.com/support/oems.htm Computer Manufacturer Support

1 - Go to Control Panel >> Hardware and Sound >> Power Option >> set the High Performance and apply to default settings.

2 - Change Advanced Power Seettings >> Wireless Adapter Settings >> Power Saving Mode and make sure both on battery and plugged in are set to High Performance.

3 - Check if your router is also running the latest firmware.

Additionally, you cna try the solutions found in the links below:

If after you try all the options and still get the error message, you may try to attempt a clean uninstall and then reinstall the drivers again. When you uninstall it, please make sure to do it to the point that Windows shows unknown device.

hi aleki_intel,

thank you so much for your precious time and efforts.

sorry for the typographical error , this event is logged 2-3 times a day.

power saving functions are already disabled, as suggested by you.

further, everything seems to be in order , as per the links provided by you.

since ,i had installed the software directly from intel ,so i uninstalled it and now have re-installed the software from lenovo .( will this make any difference?)

however, the software and driver version sare the same - v 18.20.0 & 18.20.09 respectively.

if this doesn't work, i will uninstall as suggested by- to a point that windows shows unknown device.

Or do you suggest , following this uninstallation instructions right away?

Regards,

ATULRSIRUI,

The difference between our drivers and Lenovo's is that Lenovo* designs the drivers specifically for your system as they have customized the wireless adapter for the specific system.

Try with Lenovo drivers first and if ncessary call them for further assistance. If for whatever reason they don't do what i expected you can try our drivers following the instructions. However, it is important that you know that since our drivers are generic, there are no guarantee that it will work.
