I was just looking at the Intel wireless SW and drivers and noticed that for some reason, since 16.11 and going until even the (development?) 17.13.0.9 version, the 6150 and 6250 seem to be the only variants to not receive an update (still at 15.12.0.6 vs others at 15.13/15.14 ), has it been discontinued support wise, or is it simply that the 6X50 variants new drivers are just not finished/stable/feature-complete enough for a prime-time release as of yet?...
my old Toshiba P755 used to have a 6150 in it, now has a 6250 in it and though definitely better, I suspect an update could definitely help...
I would upgrade to a 7260/7265, but then my WIMAX lights would go to waste!

You are correct, the latest driver is 16.11 (15.12.0.6 for Windows* 8.1 / 15.11.0.7 for Windows* 7).
The adapters are still under support. I recommend you checking for updates periodically.

Still no 6250 or 6150 drivers in the 17.13.11.5 software suite either... hope one comes soon as the series was last updated around april...
