Hello KZOCHOWSKI,
We understand you replaced the wireless adapter in your PC with an Intel® Wireless-N 7260, and you noticed some connectivity issues after that. We would like to inform that custom integrations of Intel® Wireless Adapters are not supported, you should always contact the http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/OEMs.html Computer Manufacturer Support before upgrading the wireless adapter, and have it replaced with them whenever possible. Driver and software from the old adapter may cause problems with the new one.
Using a non-supported adapter may lead to errors, connectivity issues, or even hardware malfunction. Please check the following documents for more information:

If our best effort, we advise you to review the recommendation from these advisories, as they often help with connectivity issues:

This sounds to me like a case of "background scanning". Your connection is being put on hold every time your WLAN card goes looking for a list of networks. If you are not roaming around, and you are always connecting to the same access point, you can probably disable background scanning and this problem will go away. Chances are that this happens all the time and you are only aware of it when you are gaming.
Check out this article: http://www.ghacks.net/2011/12/13/how-to-disable-wlan-background-scans/ http://www.ghacks.net/2011/12/13/how-to-disable-wlan-background-scans/
