AFAIK, there are not Wireless-AC cards in that formfactor.

Sorry,

I am not sure about that '2200BG' code; the Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2200 has product code 2200BNHMW. Having it say '2200BG' may mean that this is a card that has firmware specifically customized for Lenovo. This could also mean that the laptop's BIOS utilizes Inclusion/Exclusion list(s) - which essentially means that you are forced to purchase any replacement through Lenovo.

If you have a true Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2200 card, it will look like this:

If this is what you have, then we can continue.

These cards come in the PCIe Half Mini Card formfactor. Intel refers to this formfactor using the 'HMW' (Half-Mini-Wireless) acronym. Your Wireless-AC choices in this formfactor are limited to three models:

3160HMW - Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 (Discontinued)

7260HMW - Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 (Discontinued)

7265HMW - Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 (Launched)

As you can see, only the Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 is still an active product. This card, at least in this formfactor, can be exceedingly difficult to find. In fact, I could find none listed on Amazon other than a version from a 3rd-party manufacturer (example: Amazon: NETELY Wireless-AC 7265HMW). There are plenty of Intel-manufactured 7260HMW cards around, however (example: Amazon: Intel Wireless-AC 7260).

Hope this helps,

That may not be my card, my understanding was this is miniPCI size and specifically not miniPCIe.  It is out of Dell Inspiron 6000, first came out 17 years ago.  I took it out and pictures are attached.  I really appreciate your time and expertise on this.2022-01-29-181931.jpg2022-01-29-181943.jpg
