older version proset/wireless cannot be removed message during update

Cannot install newer version (18.40.0) of proset/wireless for dual band ac-7260

error 000006b2 : the older version of intel pro/wireless driver cannot be removed

during installation I get the message feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. click ok to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package "Driver.msi"

when I manually go to source location it does contain driver.msi

have uninstalled pro/wireless. no change.

Which source are you trying to obtain the latest drivers from?Have you check with your computer manufacturer in order to check if they have any possible restrictions regarding driver installation?Which OS are you using?Please, let know as soon as possible as we are looking forwad to assisting you with this.
