ultimate n-6300 agn - very low speeds.

Hi, recently im having trouble with my wireless card, its as above, i have had it for around 2 years now with no problems until this week.

all of a sudden my wifi speed has dropped to around 1-3mbps, it used to be around 30mpbs, and my iphone6 still goes at 30mbps (even if i do speed tests at the exact same time)

ive tried to find a diagnostics tool to see if theres a problem with the card but i cant seem to find one?

Drivers are up to date, works at 35mbps when wired so i really am stumped with what to do, any help appreciated! thanks

Hello flubber10,

If the system was working well and now the connection is slow, there are a few things to consider:

- Were there any changes in the environment around the time the issue started? (new hardware, sources of interference, driver changes, OS updates, configuration, etc).

- You can try using the configuration mentioned in the following advisory: http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/sb/CS-030709.htm Wireless Networking — What are the Recommended Settings for 802.11n Connectivity?.

- In some cases, doing a clean installation of the driver may help, however, we would need more information to provide details about this.

If the issue persists, please let us know the following:

Computer brand and model

Operating System

Wireless driver version

Wireless access point model and firmware version.

Hi! no there has been no changes in the enviroment, there HAS been some OS updates but the problem persists if i rollback.

clean installation hasnt worked either.

the settings in that link are already correct on both the access point and driver.

transfering from one device to another over wifi is also affected (very slow transfering between iphone6 and laptop) however iphone to iphone is still really fast.

Hello flubber10,

Check the Windows Power Plan Advanced settings and make sure that the adapter is set to Maximum performance, when plugged in and on battery.

Try disabling the Firewall and Antivirus in the PC and test the connection again.

Contact the manufacturer of your access point and obtain the most recent firmware for it.

For any further assistance, please confirm the OS version you are using.
