updating wireless driver with tool failed with an error

Greetings!

Trying to install the latest driver with the v2.5 Update Utility failed at the end. Attached are the last logs that came out of the various times of trying the update. The problem is that I keep getting,

driver_irql_not_less_or_equal (netwlv64.sys)

after the blue screen of death in Windows 10. I have a dell inspiron 1525 laptop with a solid state hard drive which flies with Windows 10, but I keep getting this error. The wireless harware, according to the properties is: Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN.

Any help to stop this hourly crashes would be great. Thanks.

Hello jicman,

In this case, the Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN is not supported by Windows* 10. Therefore, we would expect the driver to fail installation, or the adapter to have problems during operation.

Intel does not provide a driver that would support this configuration and the Intel® Driver Update Utility would not be able to install it either.

We strongly advise you to check with the http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/oems.html Computer Manufacturer Support if they recommend using Windows 10 in your PC.

Thanks. How about a nicer error message? "Link 4965AGN is not supported in Windows 10". Also, not a good feeling from us, the consumer. Thanks for the fast response.
