Currently I have the Intel Centrino wireless N 130 card
I would like to install the Intel AC 8260 card but I think as the pins are a different format, it might not work?
Would Intel AC 7260 be a better option?

Even though there are newer Intel® Wireless Adapters of the same form factor, only the computer manufacturer can let you know which one is compatible with your system, also they will inform where to obtain them and an authorized service provider that can install it for you.
