I bought a Sony Vaio Tab 11 (Windows 8.1 pro) with Intel wi-fi dual band n7260. It's impossibile to connect with eduroam network of my University. But this standard is one of the popular in the world. Why? The version of drivers is 10.06.0.08, updated by Sony in november 2013.

Let me assist you with this issue. As far as I can see Eduroam* network connects using RADIUS server authentication; can you describe the connection process you are following and at what point it fails to connect? Is there any error message? Did you contact the local network administrator?
Furthermore, it is important to know if you are using Windows* WLAN Auto-Configuration or http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-031157.htm Intel® Proset Wireless Software to manage the connection; you may try using either one of these two options to see if you get a different result. The latest Intel® Proset Wireless Software version is https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23621 16.10.0.

I try to connect by choosing the name of the wireless network. The connection fails after that I write my account and password. The error message is "it's impossible to connect". I contacted the network administrator, who knows very well the problem, which regards every notebook Samsung and Sony with Windows 8. I used also Intel Pro-set wireless, that gives the error at the point "test of association". I can't use the driver 16.10.0 because the update is managed by Sony Vaio utility. The version of the software proset hasn't the utility "connection wih hot-spot". I contacted also Sony. Thank you
