Hi Community,
to use user subroutines (written in FORTRAN programming language) with Simufact Forming 2023.2, additional programs are required.
For Windows:
• Intel oneAPI 2022.2 with Fortran compiler version 2021.6.0 or as an alternative Intel Parallel Studio XE 2020
• Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 v17.1.7.7
I have installed Microsoft Visual Studio 2022. I don't have Intel oneAPI 2022.2, but I do have Intel Parallel Studio XE 2020 Update 4.
If I start the installation of Intel Parallel Studio 2020 with parallel_studio_xe_2020_update4_cluster_edition_setup.exe, the data is extracted into the user's download folder and the installation starts.
Then after 3..4..5 seconds the window closes and nothing happens anymore. I tried it a few times...
• I left the extraction folder as is
• created the extraction folder on another drive
• “Remove temporarily extracted files after installation” checked, then started the install.exe manually
... the start window always closes and nothing happens anymore.
My thought was that perhaps old installations of...
... Visual Studio 2015 and Intel Parallel Studio XE 2016 for Simufact Forming 15, or
... Visual Studio 2017 and Intel Parallel Studio XE 2017 for Simufact Forming 16
on the computer could be the reason and I reinstalled a computer.
Yesterday I wanted to install MS Visual Studio 2022 and Intel Parallel Studio 2020.4 for Simufact Forming 2023.2 on the computer, but the installation behaves identically here too.
We urgently need the installation for subroutines now and I don't know how I could solve the problem.
What could it be? What is the reason that the installation stops without an error message?
I hope you can help me.
regards, Cathi
