Dear Intel users and Developers,
My one year free Educator license for Intel Parallel Studio XE Cluster Edition for Windows version 2017 is expiring in few days. Clicking "Extend" in the Intel Software Manager takes me to my Intel account. Therein, I do not see any clickable option for extension or renewal except a message:
Prices and options are valid for 06 Jul 2021 only and are specific to the serial number provided.
Can anyone please help me how I can extend my educator Parallel XE 2017?
Or is buying the license for Parallel XE 2017 the only option left? Or even if it not possible as my version is little older and recently Intel Parallel Studio is discontinued and has transitioned to Intel® oneAPI Toolkits?
I need this particular XE version 2017 running in my system in order to continue my task as a developing educator inside the commerical finite element software, LS-DYNA.
Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards,
Bhattarai

Hi Bhattarai,
Thanks for posting your concern on the forum. As you mentioned, Intel® has transitioned from providing Intel® Parallel Studio XE as a free tool (educator license) to providing Intel® oneAPI Toolkits as a free tool. Extending or re-applying for the license is out of the scope now. However, it has not been discontinued.
Since an option to still get Intel® Parallel Studio XE is by emailing your serial number and contact information to software_tools_request@intel.com to request a license. However, please know, the chances of getting a license are low and it is not guaranteed.
As mentioned, the only other way left, to avail Intel® Parallel Studio XE suite is by purchasing a commercial or academic license for Intel® oneAPI Toolkits. You may contact our resellers or visit our webstore for more information regarding the purchase.

Note: To access older product versions you would need a license that includes Intel® Priority Support; the free product licenses do not include this. Thereafter please create a ticket via the Online Service Center, to get the Intel® Parallel Studio XE Version 2017.

Dear Soumya,
Thank you for your reply. Yes, after sending an email to Intel provided me an extension for the educator version. Hence, this thread can be closed for no further conversation.
