Installation of Intel DPC++/C++ Compiler for Windows fails on Windows 11 Pro

Installation fails. Checking the log file 

C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Local\Temp\intel_oneapi_installer\2023.08.03.09.16.39.460installer.2023.08.03.09.16.54.060340.log

I see the following error:

08/03/2023 09:19:19:427 : 18080 : ERROR : <StandardSequenceExecutor>: 'intel.oneapi.win.compilers-common-runtime,v=2023.2.1-17' execution is failed. Rolling back all previous operations.

Running the installer as administrator did the trick!

Hi Michele, please share the below information with us:

- Is the installer an online or an offline package?

- Version of Microsoft Visual Studio installed along with it's build version

- Other versions of Intel® Parallel Studio XE or Intel® oneAPI already installed on the system

- Screenshots of the error screen

- Installation Log files apart from the one you shared

The default path for a log file for a oneAPI installation is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\oneAPI\logs

The default path for a log file for a Parallel Studio XE installation is: %temp%\pset_tmp_PSXE<version>_<username>

We would like to know.

Offline package: w_dpcpp-cpp-compiler_p_2023.2.1.7_offline.exe

- Version of Microsoft Visual Studio installed along with it's build version

Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2022 (64-bit) - Current Version 17.6.5

- Other versions of Intel® Parallel Studio XE or Intel® oneAPI already installed on the system

None

- Screenshots of the error screen

Sorry, I didn't think of taking a screenshot.

It was simply the installer stating installation had failed and suggested to check the logs.

- Installation Log files apart from the one you shared

I'm attaching the log file contained in C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\oneAPI\logs.

As I said, I don't have Parallel Studio XE installed.
