Intel Python installation failed

I am getting a similar error mentioned in the following post

Every time intel distribution for python component is failed.

 

I am trying to install it on CentOS 8

Muhammad, we found this was related to compatibility of the OS build. CentOS* 8 is not supported by Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit or Intel® Distribution for Python*. We suggest you to use a compatible OS build with the software. To check the system requirements, visit:

I think the release notes need to be updated so it reflects that it supports CentOS 8. I don't see why the BaseKit would work on an older version of CentOS and not newer; it's usually the other way around (the notes do say that CentOS 7 is supported for CPU).

I'm communicating with Muhammad via email to debug this issue and help him get it working on his machine as soon as possible. Thanks!
