Intel oneAPI base and HPC toolkit license requirements

Does Intel oneAPI base and HPC toolkit requires separate licenses? Currently hosting Intel PS XE. Appreciate your responses

Hi Shraddha, you would not require separate licenses to install Intel® oneAPI toolkits. The toolkits do not look for licenses during installation. So, you can directly download the packages and proceed with the installation.

So are they free toolkits to be utilised? unlike Intel PS XE for Linux?

Shraddha, the toolkits are available in both in freely and also in paid license versions. The difference would be in models of support. If you have a paid license, you are entitled to Priority Support where you can raise support tickets through the Online Service Center(OSC) Portal by visiting here: https://supporttickets.intel.com/servicecenter?lang=en-US.

The free toolkits can be downloaded by visiting this link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/articles/news/free-intel-software-developer-tools.html, but support is only provided through the Community forums.

Thanks for the links Arpan.

We currently don't own the licenses for oneAPI. However, we do have license coverage for Intel Parallel Studio XE Cluster Edition for Linux ,  from Apr-12-2021 – Apr-11-2022. Do we have to renew the same or purchase new separate licenses for oneAPI?

Shraddha, you do not need to purchase a new license to get access to the oneAPI license. Since your support period has not yet expired, you are entitled to a free upgrade. Post the upgradation, your Intel® Parallel Studio XE license will be retired and a new Intel® oneAPI license with a different license serial number will be provided to you.
