Hi,

May I know what is the difference between Intel oneAPI base toolkit and Intel oneAPI base toolkit with priority support.

I would like to know if the difference is only in terms of licensing and technical support.

Thank you.

Hi student1,

As mentioned, all Intel® oneAPI products are available free of cost to all. You may download the Intel® FPGA Add-on for oneAPI Base Toolkit from the below link.

Intel® FPGA Add-on for oneAPI Base Toolkit Download link - https://software.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/articles/oneapi-standalone-components.html#fpga

Note: This add-on requires installation of the Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit, so make sure to download and install the Intel® OneAPI Base Toolkit first and then pair it with the Intel® FPGA Add-on.

You must go through the End User License Agreements (EULA) for the Intel® oneAPI Base toolkit. You may visit the below link.

However, if you feel this doesn't answer your question, please post your query on the below FPGA community forum using the below link where an expert dedicated to queries of this nature will connect with you in a timely manner.

Hi student1,

Thanks for posting your query on the Community forum. The Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit and other Intel® oneAPI Toolkit products are available at no cost and are free to all and will not require a license to download and use it. Support is available via the Intel® community forums. You may visit the below link to download the Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit for free.

Download link - https://software.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/tools/oneapi/base-toolkit/download.html

However, if you wish to use the Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit with access to Priority support, you need to purchase a supported Product license. But this is only if you wish to access Priority support. If not the Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit is still available free to download using the above link.

For any queries regarding the Purchase of a supported product License, we would suggest you check with our authorized resellers by visiting the below link to find more information.

Thanks a lot for the reply.

I would appreciate if you could confirm again if the intel oneAPI FPGA add on is also free of cost. I see that Intel Quartus Prime Pro is a licensed software. Does that mean the add on will have limited functionality compared to Quartus Prime Pro regarding FPGA design?

Thank you.
