Moving IFC 2018 to new machine - license issue

We have an existing build environment with Intel Fortran 2018 (Parallel Studio XE 2018) operating.

It is a CentOS 7 environment.

Now, we are trying to move it to AlpineLinux due to EOL of CentOS.

The AlpineLinux is NOT on the supported OS lists but this is fine with us. Still we would like to install IFC on the new machine and let it try.

The PS XE 2018 installer recognizes unsupported platform and warns however it allows to continue setup:

The problem occurs when we try to point a license file. The license file transferred from CentOS environment (from /opt/intel/licenses) is recognized as invalid:

We were able to use Intel Registration Center to "Rehost/Regenerate License" - the option did "something" successfullly and allowed us to download a new/updated license file. However it gives exactly the same effect - the "license file(s) you provided is not valid for this product" error message.

We also tried license activation by Serial Number but it fails as well:

The license we are using is a "Named-User License" so there should be no issues in setting up a 2nd environment, we assume.

Any hints or knowledge sources how to deal with the problem ?

Ask in oneAPI Registration, Download, Licensing and Installation - Intel Community , or migrate to the free oneAPI compiler.
