OS compatibility for Intel OneAPI licensing

Hi,

My company has licensing (serial number) for up-to-date OneAPI license but it only includes the products for Linux OS. Currently I'm working on a project with ANSYS in Windows OS which requires particular version of Intel parallel studio XE compiler ( Intel Parallel Studio XE professional edition 2019 Update 5 to be exact) to be able to compile without compatibility issues.

The question is, Is it possible to obtain the Windows OS installation package for the required version using my company license for Linux OS? Or should I request my company to purchase a new license for Windows OS?

Kindly provide valuable information on this aspect.

Kind regards,

Sandeep Krishna

Sandeep, you are going to require a new license. Your existing license entitles you to install the software on Linux only.

To purchase a license, please contact your nearest re-seller/distributor. They would support you throughout the purchase process. To contact your nearest re-seller/distributor, please click here: https://software.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/tools/resellers.html, and scroll down to select your country from the drop down menu. You will be presented with their contact information.

There is another way that would not require you to buy a license. That way is to upgrade your Intel® Parallel Studio XE license to an Intel® oneAPI license. Intel® Parallel Studio XE has now transitioned onto Intel® oneAPI Toolkits. Once you upgrade, your existing Linux license will be retired and a new platform independent Intel® oneAPI license will be provided to you for free. You can use that license to install the Intel® Parallel Studio XE software. To know how to upgrade your Floating license> https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/articles/license/upgrade-floating-license-to-concurrent-license.html

We suggest you to check the new licensing model by clicking here> https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/get-help/faq-licensing.html, before you upgrade your license.
