RESOLVED: New installation of OneAPI HPC Toolkit - no compilers installed

Dear List,

I have a new installation of the OneAPI HPC Toolkit on an Ubuntu 22.04 machine.

The installation successfully completed the selected packages including cc and fortran compilers and libraries.  At completion is shows the version as v. 2025. I downloaded and used the installer on the Intel website today:

                     intel-oneapi-hpc-toolkit-2025.0.1.47.sh

I can see a couple of libcc... and libfortran.... libraries in the installation directory but the compilers are not there.

I have run setvars.sh with no reported problem and issuing the commands, icc or ifort, does not find anything.

What am I missing?

Thanks - Don

I found references to ifx in some wrapper scripts and fumbled around till I found that both icc and ifort are deprecated and not in the 2025 distribution.

I got fooled because both icc and ifort are available on a machine I use at the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center.

Anyway - all's well that ends well. -- Don
