Same problem here, with the oneAPI toolkit 2021.1.3, on Windows 11 and Visual Studio 2022/2019/2017.

could you remove the 2022.1.2 version of the installer separately. You can do it through the Control Panel. You could also try re-running the same installer that you had used during the installation of 2022.1.2. It should also provide you the option of uninstalling the toolkits.

I tried all this, to no success. Even the "old" uninstaller that I run separately fails to remove the installed (2022.1.2) version. I'm, stuck !!!

In my despair, I even tried hard-deleting "C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel" entirely. Still, even after all files were removed manually, the oneAPI toolkit installer tries to remove the 2022.1.2 version and fails to do so. Then setup will abort...

Hi Theshe,

Thanks for posting your concern on the forum. We apologize for the inconvenience caused. Please go through the below steps (in the mentioned order) and proceed only when the previous step has been completed.

  • Uninstall Visual Studio instance(s) including any remaining traces of different versions. Kindly visit the below link to find Microsoft's recommended ways to uninstall and remove Visual Studio completely.
  • Download the installer for the currently installed Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit 2022.1.2 and try repairing it through the installer.
  • Uninstall the repaired version(s) through the same installer
  • Install Visual Studio 2022 (64-bit) - Version 17.1.x with the Desktop development with C++ component selected.
  • Try installing Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit 2022.1.3.

To simplify, Visual Studio 2022 is, in a way, obstructing the proper installation & uninstallation of toolkit versions prior to Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit 2022.1.3. However, to install and use the mentioned latest version you would have to do a clean install due to the uninstallation issue.

Do let us know if there are any concerns. Have a nice day ahead.

Regards,

Soumya
