I am currently trying to set up Delft3D. However, I encountered an issue with the latest version of Intel software (2025), as it does not include ifort, which is required for my setup.
To proceed with my installation, I kindly request access to the following older versions of Intel software:
- Intel Fortran Compiler: w_fortran-compiler_p_2023.2.1.7_offline.exe
- Intel MPI: w_mpi_oneapi_p_2021.10.0.49373_offline.exe
- Intel MKL: w_onemkl_p_2023.2.0.49500_offline.exe
- Intel Fortran Runtime: w_ifort_runtime_p_2023.2.1.19.exe
I would greatly appreciate any guidance on how I can obtain these specific versions or any alternative solutions you may suggest.

If you have Priority Support then you can download older versions of OneAPI from the Registration Center, otherwise you only have access to the latest version (2025.1), which no longer includes ifort. I'd be surprised that you couldn't adapt your installation to use ifx instead of ifort, perhaps someone on the Delft3D side would know more (Arjen Markus?).

Yes, it should be possible - we have been using ifx for quite some time now. What version of the code do you use? The configuration script should be able to detect the compiler you are using (it is a thin layer around CMake).

Hi Alexis,
We would like to inform you that Intel® Fortran Compiler (version 2023.2.1), Intel® MPI Library(version 2021.10.0), Intel® oneAPI Math Kernel Library (version 2023.2.0), Intel® Fortran Compiler Runtime(version 2023.2.1) are old & unsupported. Please note that the older versions of Intel® Toolkits are not available publicly, only the latest version Intel® Toolkits and other latest products are available for download and installation.
Intel® has decided to discontinue support for Intel® Toolkits (including all versions released in 2024 and earlier) are not supported anymore. We urge users to upgrade to the latest version of Intel® developer tools. The unsupported versions do not include the latest functional and security updates. These versions are targeted to be removed after a period. We understand that this might be challenging, but it's important to note that the users with active priority support can only access older product versions.
For more information refer to the link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/articles/release-notes/oneapi-supported-product-versions.html.
Intel® oneAPI users with active Intel Priority Support can access older versions via a secure portal you gain access to as part of your support subscription.

Have a great day ahead!
