Request to restore historical versions for MacOS

I was disappointed to find that Intel removed all versions of the oneAPI tools for the Mac from its website.  I understand that with Apple moving away from Intel that Intel will no longer to continue to support with new versions but I see no reason to remove historical versions.  Historical versions of the oneAPI (e.g. oneAPI MKL) are still available for other platforms.  Intel could have just left the historical versions for the Mac on the website.  Instead it appears to have gone out of its way to scrub the website of the Mac versions.

There are still millions of Intel-based Mac computers out there.  I purchased a new Intel-based Mac at the end of 2020 both because I wanted to stick with Intel processors and I knew it would be the last Intel-based Mac.   I knew support would eventually end for Intel-based Macs but I never thought companies -- Intel in particular -- would go out of their way to delete all their previous work.  When Intel noted that support for Intel-based Macs was being depreciated, it never occurred to me it would remove all versions of its software less than 3 months after it released oneAPI MKL 2023.2.1.

I know its asking a lot at this point but I request that Intel restore the historical versions for the Mac to the website -- or at least make available for download via wget/GitHub/etc .  Ideally all versions but at least 2021.4 (the last version to run under MacOS Catalina=10.15) and 2023.2.1 (last version for macOS -- available as recently as October).  I suggest leaving these historical versions on the website at least until Apple official stops supporting Intel-based Macs (i.e. Apple no longer supports a version of MacOS that runs on an Intel-based Mac -- which is at least 18 months away and more likely 3 more years).

I was going to develop data processing tools on my Mac using the Intel libraries and recent versions of LLVM knowing that I would deploy on another platform (e.g. Linux) and eventually switch platforms.  However, it's hard to depend on toolkits that can disappear like this.

Hi Ben, Intel® oneAPI Toolkits for macOS is now deprecated and will be discontinued in the 2024.0 release. For more details please refer to the below link:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/articles/release-notes/intel-oneapi-toolkit-release-notes.html

Please note that Intel® has decided that Intel® oneAPI Toolkits Versions: 2024.0.0 and earlier are not supported anymore. We urge users to upgrade to the latest version of Intel® developer tools. The unsupported versions do not include the latest functional and security updates. These versions are targeted to be removed after a period. Users with active priority support can only access older product versions (Like: 2021.4 and 2023.2.1)

For more information refer to the link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/articles/release-notes/oneapi-supported-product-versions.htm, and scroll down to the Unsupported Product Version.

Intel® oneAPI users with active Intel Priority Support can access older versions via a secure portal you gain access to as part of your support subscription.
