Hello,
I cannot uninstall OneAPI Toolkits from my system (Windows 10 Pro 21H2, Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2019 Version 16.11.14), below a screenshot with the error page.
OneAPI version that I want to remove is 2021.4.
I've already read about a workaround suggested :
Update and uninstall of OneAPI Toolkits fails - Intel Communities
but for me the uninstall/install of VS2019 is not an option because
I have a lot of other extensions and integration currently installed in VS2019.
Is there another way to remove this OneAPI version from VS2019?
Best regards
Giacomo

Hello,
- I've another version of VS installed:
- Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2022 (64-bit) - Version 17.1.1.
- OneApi toolkits (Base and HPC) are not integrated with VS2022.
- when I tried the uninstall procedure the OneApi version present was:
- OneApi Base toolkit 2021.4
- OneApi HPC toolkit 2021.2 and 2021.
- After uninstall failure I've removed the Intel extension using the VS2019 extension manager
- Next, I tried to uninstall OneApi again but the error was the same
- Then I've installed
- OneApi Base toolkit 2022.2
- OneApi HPC toolkit 2022.2
- To execute this install I've disabled VS2019 and VS2022 integration
Thank's in advance
Giacomo

Giacomo, please follow the below steps to remove VS 2022:
- Close Intel® installers if any.
- Uninstall all Microsoft Visual Studio instances and Visual Studio Installer.
Important: check that C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\VisualStudio\Setup\x86\Microsoft.VisualStudio.Setup.Configuration.Native.dll does not exist anymore. If it was not removed with Microsoft Visual Studio for some reason, please unregister the DLL using
REGSVR32 /U C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\VisualStudio\Setup\x86\Microsoft.VisualStudio.Setup.Configuration.Native.dll
command in Command Prompt as Administrator, and then rename the file to Backup_Microsoft.VisualStudio.Setup.Configuration.Native.dll so the Intel® Installer can't load it.
- Uninstall older Intel® Parallel Studio XE and Intel® oneAPI products.
- Install required versions of Microsoft Visual Studio supported by the Intel® Parallel Studio XE. See the full list here: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/articles/reference-implementation/intel-compilers-compatibility-with-microsoft-visual-studio-and-xcode.html. For the Intel® Parallel Studio XE 2020 Update 4, the supported versions are Visual Studio 2017 15.9 and Visual Studio 2019 16.7.2.
Also, please note the VS 2022 17.0.2 was the only version which was fully tested to be compatible with compiler version 2022.2.

Thank's for your support ArpanB.
I try to better explain my problem:
-
OneAPI version that I want to remove is 2021.4, base and HPC toolkit
-
Toolkits are integrated only in Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2019 Version 16.11.14
-
My system is Windows 10 Pro 21H2
- I've another version of VS installed: Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2022 (64-bit) - Version 17.1.1.
- OneApi toolkits (Base and HPC) are not integrated with VS2022.
- Uninstall all Microsoft Visual Studio instances and Visual Studio Installer: is not an option because
I have a lot of other extensions and integration currently installed in VS2019
-
I remove all Intel extensions from VS2019 using the IDE extension manager
Thank's
Giacomo

Giacomo, the uninstallation error where a component fails is quite common. Even if you the tools are not integrated to VS2022, we suggest you to follow the above workaround as it will delete any instances or corrupt .dll files that might have been causing the issue. Make sure you remove both VS 22 and VS 2019 and follow the workaround step by step as we had shared earlier.
Let us know if this resolves your issue. We would like to know.
