Hi,

IMPORTANT:

I'm following up on an issue I previously posted about a few days ago. I provided all the requested information in that thread and was surprised to find it closed due to a lack of response. This issue is preventing me from working, and I would greatly appreciate any assistance in resolving it.

The following responses to the follow up questions were posted here:

1. Version of Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit prior to the update: I had the immediately preceding version installed. I consistently keep my Intel oneAPI installation up to date.

2. Other versions of Intel® Parallel Studio XE or Intel® oneAPI installed: No, only the previous oneAPI Base Toolkit that I tried to update when the issue appeared.

3. Other versions of Microsoft Visual Studio installed, along with its build version: No, I only have the latest version installed (17.13.5).

4. Have you previously integrated Microsoft Visual Studio with Intel® Parallel Studio XE or Intel® oneAPI Toolkit on your current system? Yes, I have been using the previous version of the oneAPI Base Toolkit with Visual Studio 2022.

Also, please do not direct me to the private inbox, for it does not contains the information that should be there. Always respond here.

The issue is reposted below.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I attempted to update my Intel oneAPI Base Toolkit to version 2025.1, but the installation failed to integrate with Visual Studio 2022, preventing me from building my solutions. Below are the details:

- Visual Studio Version: 17.13.5

- Windows Version: 24H2, OS Build 26100.3624

- Issue: The toolkit appears to install correctly, but integration with Visual Studio 2022 fails.

- Log File: Attached for reference.

I’ve followed all troubleshooting steps recommended on the Grok AI site, including uninstalling and reinstalling both the oneAPI Toolkit and Visual Studio 2022. Despite these efforts, the same error persists.

I urgently need assistance to resolve this integration issue, as it’s blocking my ability to continue work. Please advise on next steps or a solution as soon as possible.

Thank you for any help.

Eduardo Quintana

Hi Eduardo,

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. We previously shared information with you internally regarding the installation issue. However, it seems that you may not have received our message, and the thread was closed due to a lack of response on our end.

We would like to inform you that, according to our Intel® Compilers Compatibility with Microsoft Visual Studio* and Xcode* Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 (Version: 17.12.4) and Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 (Version: 16.11.43) are the best compatible Visual Studio integrations with Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit (version 2025.1.0). Please note that our engineering team has tested and documented the compatible Visual Studio versions and their build numbers for integration with the suite and toolkit versions.

Since you have upgraded to the latest version, we understand that you're encountering issues with the integration of Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 (Version: 17.13.5). To resolve this, we recommend performing a fresh installation. Please follow the troubleshooting steps outlined below to assist in resolving the issue:

  1. Open the Control panel and click on Uninstall a program below the Programs box.
  2. Find "Microsoft Visual Studio 2022(Version: 17.13.5)" then click the right button and uninstall.
  3. The uninstaller program will be open then click on remove and select the next procedure.
  4. Kindly visit the below link to find the steps with InstallCleanup.exe to make sure a Visual Studio version is completely uninstalled.
    1. Link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/install/uninstall-visual-studio?view=vs-2022#remove-all-with-installcleanupexe
  5. Once the uninstallation is complete, please proceed to uninstall Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit(upgraded version i.e. 2025.1.0) with the help of control panel or using their installers of the Intel® Toolkits.
  6. After successful uninstallation, we recommend installing Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 (Version: 17.12.4) as your first step. Kindly refer to the below link to download the compatible Visual Studio version (i.e., Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 (Version: 17.12.4)).
    1. Link: Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 (Version: 17.12.4)
  7. Please note, that our engineering team has tested and documented the compatible Visual Studio versions and their build numbers for integration with the suite & toolkit versions.

  8. Make sure you select the 'Desktop development with C++' component while installing Visual Studio.
  9. Once Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 (Version: 17.12.4) is successfully installed, you can proceed installation of the package with the offline installer(Recommended) from the below link:

Have a great day ahead!
