Video-LLaMA Deployment on Intel Cloud – Requires Sudo Access Issue

I am trying to deploy the Video-LLaMA model on Intel Cloud using SYCL instead of CUDA, but I’m facing an issue where some processes are asking for sudo access. Since I may not have root permissions, I need help finding an alternative way to set up and run the model.

Video-LLaMA also requires FlashAttention, so any guidance on deploying vision large language models (VLLMs) like this on Intel Cloud would be very helpful. I am a research scholar at NIT Calicut, and this setup is important for my work.

• The operating system and its build version on which you are installing Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit(Version : 2025.0.1).
• Other versions of Intel® Parallel Studio XE or Intel® oneAPI already installed on the system.

If you don't have root permission, you can also install oneAPI. Please refer to the installation guide https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/docs/oneapi/installation-guide-linux/2025-0/online-offline-installer-004.html#BASE-ONLINE-OFFLINE .
