Dear sir,
My current student license of parallel studios 2020 cluster edition is expired. I need to install it in new desktop pc. I did not found any link to re-register the parallel studio student edition. Your free development tools for students are highly appreciable. Please help in this matter or suggest any other free tools for students so I can use your fortran and mkl library in research.

Your kind help will be appreciated.

Hi drkishorkumar,

Thanks for letting us know about the concern. However, please note, Intel® has transitioned from providing Intel® Parallel Studio XE as a free tool (student license) to providing Intel® oneAPI Toolkits as a free tool. Due to that, the request for Intel® Parallel Studio XE free license re-register is outside of our scope of assistance.

However, please know that the transition from Intel® Parallel Studio XE to Intel® oneAPI Toolkits delivers additional capabilities through existing tools and new tools.

The Intel® Parallel Studio XE Cluster Edition product suite maps to the equivalent Intel® oneAPI Toolkits: Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit + Intel® oneAPI HPC Toolkit.

The Intel® oneAPI Math Kernel Library (oneMKL) is available as part of the Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit. The Intel® oneAPI HPC Toolkit provides access to Intel® Fortran Compiler Classic, Intel® Fortran Compiler(Beta), powerful data-centric libraries, and advanced analysis tools. The Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit is required to be installed first for it to get integrated with the Intel® oneAPI HPC Toolkit; to provide the full functionality of the latter.

The Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit and the Intel® oneAPI HPC Toolkit are available for Windows*, Linux*, and macOS*.

·   Qualification – No qualification is required.

·   Support – All Intel® oneAPI Toolkits are available at no cost and include community forum support.

·   Licensing – Install and run the tools under the terms of use found in the End User License Agreement. No license files are needed.

End-User License Agreement Link: https://software.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/articles/end-user-license-agreement.html

Please click on the below link to choose and download the required product tools with respect to Intel® oneAPI Toolkits.

Note - Make sure to download and install Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit first and then add Intel® oneAPI HPC Toolkit or the toolkit of your choice.

However, for developers like you who were part of our previous Student, Academic or Open Source Developer Tools program, there is an option to extend your existing license of Intel® Parallel Studio XE. You may try emailing your serial number and contact information to software_tools_request@intel.com to request a license. However, please know, the chances of getting a license are low and it is not guaranteed.

The only other way left, to avail Intel® Parallel Studio XE suite is by purchasing a commercial or academic license for Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit & HPC Toolkit. You may contact our resellers for more information regarding the purchase.

Have a safe and wonderful day ahead!
