Upgrading from oneAPI base toolkit 2023 gets an error due to failure to remove Intel Distribution for GDB.
See attached screen shot. Integration with VS 2022 17.8.1.
This error also occurred in the past, with earlier oneAPI installs. The advice then was to uninstall VS, then reinstall. This is NOT an acceptable solution.

Maybe try running the uninstaller (modify > remove) for GDB from settings > apps before running the install?

Since this is an installation issue, I'm moving this to the Installation Forum.

Hi Sir/Madam, we would require few details which are as follows:
- OS build on which you are installing the product.
- Exact version of Intel® oneAPI Base toolkit.
- Other versions of Intel® Parallel Studio XE or Intel® oneAPI already installed on the system.
- Is the installer an online or an offline package?
- Installation Log files.
- The default path for a log file for a Intel® oneAPI installation is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\oneAPI\logs

Another try, using the latest version, fails with "ERROR : Removal of component has failed.
Component id: intel.oneapi.win.dpcpp_debugger.vsmi.vs2022, name: Intel® Distribution for GDB*, version: 2021.5.0-115.
Error: Sequence execution failed." I've attached the log.
I successfully repaired oneAPI Base, then tried to modify oneAPI HPC. This gave a similar message: "ERROR : Removal of component has failed. Component id: intel.oneapi.win.dpcpp_debugger.vsmi.vs2019, name: Intel® Distribution for GDB*, version: 2021.5.0-115.
Error: Sequence execution failed."
So, still can't install oneAPI for Fortran.
