Today, the White House Office of the National Cyber Director (ONCD) released the Biden Administration National Cybersecurity Strategy.
The release of the Cybersecurity Strategy by the Biden Administration marks another step forward in our collective journey towards protecting users globally and advancing the security of the U.S.
Intel appreciates the Administration’s efforts in advancing the National Cybersecurity Strategy and we look forward to continuing our work with partners to advance this strategy and promote innovation and policies that embody its spirit. The Cybersecurity Strategy proposes to raise the bar on cybersecurity. It aims to transition critical infrastructure operators and the public sector to modern compute environments that will truly enable a zero-trust approach. Under this Cybersecurity Strategy, the private sector would need to assume a broader role in enabling technological leadership workforce development, as well as championing private-public partnerships and adopting leading practices.
Intel remains committed to doing its part. We continue to invest in semiconductor R&D and advanced manufacturing in the U.S. to help secure the foundation of our domestic supply chain. We approach this imperative with a Security-First mindset, building on our longstanding commitment to security and investments in our people, industry-leading processes and products, integrating a security by design approach with our products and culture. We relentlessly innovate to enable our ecosystem of partners, promoting secure computing architectures and faster transitioning to post-quantum cryptography. And we will continue to work with our broader ecosystem to implement leading practices and advance new frameworks and standards.
We appreciate the focus of the National Cybersecurity Strategy on public-private partnership, global collaboration, and the importance of product security.
