I am experiencing an unexplainable flicker on Iris Xe graphics using OpenGL 3.3 and a very simple shader.
I have taken a RenderDoc capture of the issue and you can see the flickering in the capture itself. The issue does not happen on nvidia.
- Open the RenderDoc file provided on Iris Xe
- Local EID 126 in the even browser
- Look at the lines, some of them will have imperfections. Forcing a refresh by browsing to another even with make these imperfection move randomly.
This is not the first time I deal with OpenGL issues on Intel. I used to be able to bypass most of them by forcing a glFlush every now and then, but for this one, it is not helping. I simplied the shader as much as I could, so it should be easy for you to debug.

Hi Matt
Thanks for your report and sorry for the delay, I will be assisting you on this case
I can definitely see the flicker on EID 126. Could you tell me a bit more about the project?
I need to include as many details as possible on my report.
BTW I just saw you reported the same case in GitHub: this one and to avoid duplicates, I'd like to know which platform you prefer.
I'll check this issue with our driver team and keep you posted.
I will provide an internal report ID in a couple days any further update I have will be done in this channel
