Graphics on Linux systems

Hi,

I am working on intel boards to evaluate gstreamer and OpenGL based applications.

My target user case is to render on 2 separate displays based on application logic.

I am currently trying to understand the Linux graphics subsystem specifically using intel boards (4th Gen graphics).

OS is Debian 7.4 and Fedora 18.

Any pointers to get started are welcome. Trying to understanding the basics to be in a position to ask more specific questions in future.
