I realize that the new Atom N2600 Cedar Trail platform does not have direct media card (SD Card) support, but is there a reference design or recommend approach to add this functionality? Our industrial automation project cannot support removable, external thumb drives. Either CompactFlash or SD cards are preferred.
I posted this question to the Intel Design Assistance group earlier this week, but did not receive a reply.
Thanks -

Hi Mike,
Thank you for your follow up.
You are correct, Cedar Trail does not natively contain a direct media card interface for SD Card support. SD Card support can be achieved through third party chips that use either USB, PCI, LPC or other interfaces.
It seems at this point you are requiring a direct Intel contact as well. I will email your ID as well.
Best regards,
