Xeon-D1559 didn't bring up

Hi,

We have used Xeon D-1559 processor in our custom board design. We have used CRB as reference. We have powered on the all power rails according to CRB power sequence. we flashed the bios image to NOR flash. The CPU releases PLTRST_N and CPU resets itself, after it is trying to bring up. CPU does not send serial data on UART. CATERR_N signal is asserted by the CPU when we monitor CPU signals , we did not see any problem other critical signals. Also, we realize that CPU did not release DDR_RESET_N signal.

We tried 4 boards, they all behaved the same way.

 Could you suggest to solve our problem?

Hello, @YunusD:

Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.

The Intel® Xeon® Processor D-1559 is a Broadwell-DE processor, as you may confirm in the following website:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/93352/intel-xeon-processor-d1559-18m-cache-1-50-ghz/specifications.html

We need to clarify that the Broadwell-DE processors have been discontinued and are no longer supported, as you may verify on the following website:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000022396/processors.html

However, you may find the available documentation for the Broadwell-DE processors on the following website:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/platforms/details/broadwell-de/docs.html

Best regards,
@CarlosAM_INTEL.

Could you provide XEON D-1559 BSDL file to find the problem on our board?
