EE810 XXVAM2 Limit to 10G

We are using the EE810 XXVAM2 chip connected as two 10G KR ports. Our issue is that the ports advertise two 25G ports which are too fast for the interface. Using tools after boot up and with different OSes to limit the rate is not convenient. Is there a way to limit the chip to only advertise 10G with a different flash file or to save a setting to NVM so it will only advertise 10G on every boot up?

We use various OSes depending on customer requirements, Ubuntu, Red Hat, Windows, VXWorks DEOS.  I am working in engineering so don’t usually have closed up labeled units.

Here is a picture of an open unit.  The arrow is pointing to the E810.  This is normally how I work with them.

I took the closed up labeled picture from our website.   We have three products that all use the E810 XXVAM2.  They are 68INT6, 68INT6H, and 68ARM4.

Because we have three different boards and 5 different OSes we need a way to limit the max rate to 10G natively (hopefully in the firmware).

Hi Fporfido,

Thank you for your response.

I would like to inform you that as the ethernet controller is embedded on the board, you would need to contact the board manufacturer(OEM) for any further support on account of custom firmware and drivers.

Simon,

I am the board manufacturer.  I am the design engineer at North Atlantic Industries of this board.  I designed the board with your Intel’s Tiger Lake processor and Intel’s E810.  The website I pointed you to is ours!
