Can I connect the I226 Ethernet Media Interface to a MaxLinear GPY215 in a Transformerless Ethernet Application (TLE)?
I have confirmed with MaxLinear that their PHY can communicate via TLE with decoupling caps (PNG attached). I want to confirm that the I226 can handle the decoupled signaling without being biased by a pull-up resistor.

Hello Amina,
Can you elaborate on what you mean by "front and back pictures."
This controller is being used in a prototype product, the prototype is in the design stage and has not been fabricated. An isolation transformer can be added to the design if needed but ideally I would like to configure the UTP connection to work in a transformer-less application.
The I226-IT acts as a PCIe-Ethernet bridge. A common use-case for the product would be 2G of Ethernet video steam data coming into the IC on the Ethernet interface and relayed out through the PCIe interface to a CPU on a motherboard.

Amina,
I have a Developer Zone Premier account. I originally posted this question in the Intel Developer Zone and I was directed to post my question here (Case #: 06428481).
Should I re-post this again in IDZ support?

Mohammed,
I have opened a case in the IDZ again (Case #: 06473609). If I am encouraged to reach "out to Embedded community for further assistance" I will be pointing them to this thread.
