Failed to program C5E_DEV_KIT_B using JTAG.

I tried using Quartus Prime and followed the 'Configuring the FPGA Using the Quartus II Programmer' section in the UG_CVE_FPGA_DEV_KIT document to program the C5E_DEV_KIT_B using JTAG. However, when I press 'Auto Detect,' I always get the message 'Unable to scan device chain. Can't scan JTAG chain.' Also, I do not plan to use MAXV. How can I resolve this issue or configure it correctly?

Hi,

Have you been able to resolve thsi problem? If not kindly provide below informations;

  • What is the Quartus that was used?
  • Have the Dev kit ever been detected and working fine before?
  • Do you have another USB blaster to try on with the board?
  • Can you try to run the JTAG chain debugger and see the result?

Regards,

Aiman
