Stratix 10 Devices SoC or not?

Hey all,

I was going through some of the Stratix 10 Devices to help myself understand the offerings available, however I noticed that several devices in this family such as the Stratix 10 TX, Stratix 10 DX are not marketed as SoC, however they both have an HPS much like an SoC would. Currently only the Stratix 10 SX is the only family with an HPS that is also marketed as an SoC. 

Am I missing something here that makes the TX and DX devices not SoC? And if I am looking for a devices in the Stratix 10 Family that is not an SoC, am I limited to the GX and MX Families?

I think only certain DX and TX devices have an HPS.  All SX devices (S is for SoC) have an HPS.

Hello! thank you for the response, looking at the family plans, I can see that is the case that a few select devices in each family don't have an HPS.

If that is the case, does that mean all the TX and DX devices that DO have an HPS are SoCs? or are they missing something?

Altera's meaning for "SoC" is any device that includes an HPS and its associated peripherals.  So no, nothing is missing.  What is your concern?

Mostly just looking for candidates for a project, and a module capable of DDR4 without an SoC is what we're looking for, so I was going through each family looking for candidates and was confused when I started seeing HPS's with no mention of SoC.
