Stratix 10 MX FPGA Development Kit Development OS

Hello,

I am interested in developing for the Stratix 10 with HBM.

I am considering purchasing the Stratix 10 MX development kit for this purpose.

I have 2 questions:

1. Is there any difference between developing on Linux vs Windows? Are there any limitations that would make one or the other more useful?

2. If the board is installed into the PCIe slot of a computer, would I be able to reprogram/debug over JTAG through the PCIe? Or would I need additional hardware to use the board?

Hello

Welcome to INTEL forum. 1) The Dev.Kit is develop/tested in Windows platform. We recommended to use Windows as it was tested before.

2) No, per my understanding, after install to PCIe slot we can’t reprogram over JTAG. Configuration is via PCIe

We have not heard from you and I hope that my last note clears up this matter. If you don’t have any further question, I will now transition this thread to community support. If you have a new question, feel free to open a new thread to get the support from Intel experts. Otherwise, the community users will continue to help you on this thread. Thank you.
