Intel Iris XE Graphics 3D Memory

I got this laptop mainly for school purposes but I do occasionally play some games. Looking through game specs, many games require 2 or more gbvram. I thought this would be no issue since I had a shared video memory of 12gb. When I tried gaming however, the 3d graph goes and stays at 100% even though its only using 1gb shared storage. I thought it was shared equally but now im curious on how its split between the different engines and if there is a way to assign more to one particular engine, or if I misunderstand how this works.

Below are 2 images, one which was before I opened Warframe and one after (Lowest Settings)
