A little help with Intel Driver Support Assistant notification

I keep getting a diver update notice from Intel Driver Support Assistant with this description:

This download installs Intel® Graphics Driver 32.0.101.6314 (WHQL Certified) for Intel® Arc™ A-Series Graphics, Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics, and Intel® Core™ Ultra Processors with Intel® Arc™ Graphics.
Version:
32.0.101.6314Release date:
December 3, 2024

The notice states:

If a newer graphics driver is available from your computer manufacturer, we recommend that you install that driver instead.

My mobo is an MSI PRO Z690 A DDR4 with BIOS 1.E0 & 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700K CPU

I don't see any information on the MSI graphics driver. All the MSI system information says is that my GPU is an Intel UHD Graphics 770.

I ran CPU-Z for more detailed information, but I don't see a graphics driver date there either.

I'm trying to determine if I can safely silence that driver notification from Intel, or if I go ahead and try to install it, will it wipe out all my MSI graphics settings.

I'm pretty sure I haven't gotten any driver updates from MSI since December 3, 2024.

I'll post this question on the MSI community forum as well. Thanks.

Hello silvanet,

Thank you for posting in Intel community Forum.

For me to further check this, please help provide the following details:

  1. When did you purchase the system?
  2. Was it working fine before?
  3. Can you share screenshots on the issue?

If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.

Best regards,

Hi @silvanet

You may safely download and install the Graphics Driver offered by IDSA. However, before you are installing any driver, you have to ensure that the Chipset Driver was installed as the first driver.  The Chipset Driver is not offered by IDSA and need to be downloaded and installed manually before installed any driver.

BTW, the MSI Download Page offers an older version (31.0.101.4255) of the same driver.
